A Parrot Testifies in Murder Case; Leads To Conviction Of Wife

In 2015, Marty Duram, 45, was found shot to death in his Michigan home. A few weeks later, his parrot named Bud began squawking in voices that appeared to mimic an argument between Duram and his wife, Glenna.

“Don’t f***ing shoot,” the bird screeched.

Duram was shot five times by his wife in the head who claimed not remembering anything about the shootings.

Bud was sent to live with Duram’s ex-wife, Christina Keller, who was adamant that Bud had witnessed Glenna shooting Marty before turning the gun on herself in a failed suicide attempt.

The bird’s ranting prompted speculation that Bud could somehow be called to testify, but prosecutors said that wouldn’t happen.

And last week, she was convicted of first-degree murder after a Newaygo County jury deliberated for eight hours.

Bud was also heard screaming, “No! No!” in a voice that resembled Marty’s, his ex-wife claimed.

Glenna Duram is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 28, WXMI reported.
